Giant cat-eating chimps found in congo


In the heart of the war-torn Democratic Republic of Congo, giant chimpanzees were found. Local folklore had it that there exist apes which are a mix of chimpanzees and gorillas and they can eat lions. The truth turned out to be a little different - they were not any new species, but super sized chimps. However, it was found out that they had a taste for big-cat flesh. One of the researches saw a chimp eating the carcass of what seemed to be a leopard. Also, the chimps seem to prefer sleeping on the ground rather than sleep in the trees. It is not completely understood why abandon the safety of the trees and sleep in the ground within easy reach of the night prowling hunters. More of these amazing chimps:
